Been away for a couple days but heres some recommendations to make up for it.

Photoshop - I’m not very good, actually I’m terrible at it. But I was using paint to cut my friends head out of pictures and put them onto pictures of random stuff and everyone thought it was hilarious. It went from 2 original pictures to 44 pictures done by me and about 4 other people. There’s also a facebook group but I’m gonna keep it on the down low for now.

First Strike Map Pack - First DLC for Black Ops. I’m pretty sure I’ve played all 4 of the multiplayer maps but I’m not positive since some of my friends didn’t get the DLC and it locks you out if someone in the party doesn’t have it. Anyways….. from what I’ve played of them they are actually really fun, and getting them during a double xp weekend on Xbox Live was extra super. I haven’t played the zombie map yet, because honestly I never really played zombies that much.

Battlestar Galactica Online - Currently in open beta, so go sign up. Browser based, so you only need to install the engine that runs the game, which I believe is called Unity Player. The game is alright for the most part, and will be subscription based once released to the public. You can play as human or cylon, and start either in a basic Raider or Viper Mark II.

Epic Meal Time - If you don’t know about this by now, get a life. These guys are awesome, and make meals that prove it. I’m not even going to explain it, just go to their website and check it out. You will be thankful. Even you vegans.

Baseball Season - Now that the shitty NFL season is over it’s time to make way for baseball! Honestly they should make this time of year a holiday. From the start of spring training, until the World Series should be no work and no school. Sounds good to me. Having the World Series off would depend on who was in it. Another Giants vs Rangers no one cares fest, or a Yankees World Series, you work.

The Pro - This player usually has mlg in his name in one way or another and will make claims of being an mlg player. For those who don’t know, mlg is Major League Gaming, and just like any pro sport, has the best of the best players. Actual mlg players typically don’t rant and rave to lobbies about how how they are pro, and let their play do the talking. The Pro will talk trash to everyone on his team and complain about how everyone on his team is a noob. If his team wins he will let you know it was because he carried you to victory. Lucky you. The guy is generally a decent player but will do a lot of complaining. Expect him to have about 20-25 kills, and 8 or so deaths.

The Racist - This without a doubt has to be the least intelligent player on xbox live. If he hears an accent, or any trace of what he could identify to be anything other than an American white guy, he goes into attack mode. He will spill off every racist term and stereo type he can think of and prove to everyone his lack of intelligence. His emblem will usually be some version of a rebel flag or a bong with 4 20 on it. These players I would think are muted by the entire lobby in a few minutes, although sometimes I won’t mute him if the person he has targeted doesn’t get drawn in to the hate and makes logical comments and just gets the racist mad. Expect him to be busy ironing his KKK robes to really play well, and hes good for 7 kills and 12 deaths.

And now what everyone is waiting for…

The Girl - There’s 2 ways that the girl model can go. The first chooses to enjoy playing the game and doesn’t want to deal with the vultures that are men on xbox live. She never plugs in her mic and her user name gives no indication that a girl might be playing. The second knows what she is in for and has experienced the full wrath of xbox live. Knowing that hearing a girl in a lobby drives guys into a frenzy of friend requests, sexual comments, and posturing to look as cool as possible. She dishes out the trash talk back to the 12 year olds who “would have sex with her and her mom” and to all the other guys who have to play with raging hard ons over hearing a girl on xbox. Theres a wide spectrum of scores to expect from girls ranging from 0 kills and 30 deaths, from the just having fun girls, all the way to 24 kills 3 deaths from the serious gaming girls.

Many different types of people play xbox live, and if you have played online for any amount of time you are probably very familiar with them. However if you have not, I will go over 3 very common personalities you will come in contact with, and what to expect from each. As an example we will use Black Ops, since that’s what I’ve been playing the most recently.

12 Year old kid - Right off the bat you are probably saying to yourself “Whats the big deal about a 12 year old kid?” There are 2 possible scenarios that deal with this character. The first is no ordinary 12 year old. This kid has spent the last 4 months shooting , stabbing, and blowing people up…online. Now this does something to the mind of the 12 year old. This apparently causes them to believe that if you say 1 word, they will, without a doubt, have sex with your mother, and they will tell you about it until someone else says something, and then sex will be had with their mother as well. Generally anything argument against this kid is countered with some form of “Well I had sex with your mom” which usually is just kind of annoying.

The second scenario for the 12 year old is the whiner. You will immediately know you are in the presence of this kid as soon as you join the room because he will have his mic open, yelling to his mom about 1 of 2 things. 1. His sibling won’t leave him alone and it’s making him die. 2. For his mom to stop bothering him because its making him die. This is the more fun of the 2 scenarios to play with since you usually get to hear his parents on the verge of destroying an xbox, and everyone in the lobby acknowledges this.

You can usually expect this kid to have around 4 kills and 22 deaths. You know, because his sister won’t leave him alone.

The Internet Gangster - These players feel the need to tell you about how they will fuck you up, in game, and if you say anything to contradict them, they will come to your house and fuck you up as well. For some reason these guys think that threatening to come where you live makes them play better, or sound cooler, neither of which is true. Usually it just makes me mute them, unless there is a 12 year old in the room that they are arguing with which usually goes something like this:

Gangster: Yea I fucked you up son.

Kid: I fucked your mom

Gangster: Where do you live I’ll beat your fuckin ass!

Kid: I fucked your moms ass.

This usually goes in a circle until one of them leaves the lobby, or someone else says something, and they are attacked by the gangster and kid. You can expect the gangster to have 12-17 kills and 20 deaths.

The Military Strategist - These guys are pretty annoying and generally an anchor for any team. They have never been in the military, but have seen Full Metal Jacket and Top Gun 200 times. This makes them shout orders to the team involving sectors and military alphabet. If you lose he will let you know it was because no one listened to him. I usually don’t mute him just for the humor of what he says, and sometimes I will even encourage him by joining in on his imaginary brilliance. This guy has 0 kills and 22 deaths, mostly because you didn’t listen to him.

There’s more but I haven’t played in a couple days so I’ll make it a point to play today so I can remember the other personalities.
